Mr. Tom Meyer is the Executive Director of the Green Mechanical Council, an international non-profit focused on providing education to create and maintain environmentally sound, high performance and energy efficient structural mechanical systems.

Mr. Meyer is a graduate of The Ohio State University with over 20 years experience in hydronics. Most recently, he was president of Precision Hydronics Corporation, an international design, consulting and training firm.

Mr. Meyer is the ASHRAE Liaison to the US Green Building Council, and has been a
member of the Greenbuild Program Committee for five years. He is a member of the US Senate’s High Performance Building Council, IAPMO Technical Committee, the Ecobuild Advisory Committee, and is an advisor to the office of the Architect of the Capitol in Washington DC.

Active in ASHRAE, Mr. Meyer is a voting member of many committees including: SSPC-90.2 Energy Efficient Design of Low-Rise Residential Buildings; TG-1 Exergy Analysis for Sustainable Buildings; SSPC-134 Graphic Symbols for HVACR; TC-6.5 Radiant and In-Space Convective Heating (past Chair) and TC 1.1 Thermodynamics and Psychometrics.
Mr. Meyer has been a speaker for organizations such as ASHRAE, RPA, RSES, AHR, CFI, MREA, and COSA, and has written several articles, training modules and textbooks
including GreenSpeak.
