Greg Reitman

Greg Reitman is the founder of Blue
Water Entertainment, Inc. an independent
production focusing on environmental conscience entertainment. He
recently produced the Audience Award winning documentary, ‘Fields
of Fuel’ at
the 2008 Sundance film festival. He wrote, produced, and directed the
feature
documentary ‘Hollywood’s Magical Island – Catalina’
(2003) syndicating on
American Public Television (APT). He is currently in production on his
new
feature documentary film, ‘Rooted in Peace’ and the live
concert event, ‘Rock the
Green Vote’ which will take place this Fall.
Greg worked in the high tech arena for five years serving two leading
companies:
LSI Logic- a fortune 500 semiconductor company; and the Meta Group a
leading
market research information technology company. In both capacities,
Greg was a
business, and sales director servicing the entertainment and fortune
500
marketplace. In addition, Greg was a leading industry technology spokesman
in the
areas of multimedia, electronic publishing, and e-commerce.
Greg began his career in publishing, working in marketing and sales
for both
Simon and Schuster (UK) and Oxford University Press (NY).
Greg earned his Bachelor of Arts from University of Massachusetts at
Amherst
(1993), holds a certificate in Film & Television, Marketing &
Distribution from
UCLA and has studied internationally at Tel-Aviv University (Israel),
Hokkaido
University (Japan) and Florence University (Italy).
He received a master certificate in Creative Producing in Tel Aviv University;
he is
a graduate of the Travis Directing School; an alumni of HFI (Hollywood
Film
Institute), and currently serves as a national board member for the
Green Energy
Council and a board member for the Jewish Federation Entertainment Executive
Council. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
