Danny Bigel is the Chief Executive Officer of Sammy & Sue Enterprises, a media company designed to educate, entertain and empower children ages 7-12. The Company is driven by the core idea of educating while entertaining, and inspired by the 16-title Sammy & Sue series of award-winning, green-themed children’s books, the Company has developed a variety of entertainment properties and platforms that are designed to engage the imaginations of children everywhere and deliver the information, skills and confidence they need to live healthy, eco-friendly lives. The centerpiece of the Company is an Online 3D Virtual Game World which will allow children all over the world to connect socially through games and virtual communities. In addition to the book series and an online game world, the Company will continue to introduce fresh, environmentally-themed ideas, characters and concepts through various entertainment ventures which will include an animated television series, web content,  mobile games and applications for handheld devices.

For over twenty years in both the finance and entertainment industries, brings a unique quality and skill set to the current media landscape. An independent film producer who, since 1996, produced 11 feature films with many of Hollywood’s most established stars and directors, Mr. Bigel has earned a reputation for making quality films, financed by first tier bankable elements, at a fraction of industry costs. Prior to joining the entertainment industry, Mr. Bigel was a Member of the New York Stock Exchange for fifteen years (from 1991and until the NYSE went public in March 2006). In 2001 Bigel became an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business teaching a graduate level finance course on the motion picture industry.  In 2006 Bigel co-founded InWorld Studios, a Los Angeles based technology company which produces original 3D content within online virtual worlds. In 2007 Bigel co-founded Broadway South, LLC, a company whose mission is to rebuild downtown New Orleans though the creation of a “theater district for live entertainment”.  Mr. Bigel is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), The Creative Coalition (TCC), and is a national Board member of the International Green Energy Council (IGEC) and the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. Mr. Bigel graduated from Brandeis University in 1987 with a degree in economics.
               
As a film producer, Mr. Bigel’s credits, among others, include: “Loverboy” (directed by and starring Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Matt Dillon, Marisa Tomei, Oliver Platt, Campbell Scott and Sandra Bullock, distributed by Think Films); “Devour” (starring Jensen Ackles, Shannon Sossamon and Dominique Swain, distributed by Columbia Tristar); “Empire” (starring John Leguizamo, Peter Sarsgaard, Denise Richards, Sonia Braga and Isabella Rosellinni, distributed by Universal Pictures); “Harvard Man” (directed by Oscar nominated James Toback and starring Adrian Grenier, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eric Stoltz, Joey Lauren Adams and Rebecca Gayheart, distributed by Cowboy); “Black and White” (directed by James Toback and starring Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Brooke Shields, Jared Leto, Claudia Schiffer, and Elijah Wood with Method Man, the Wu Tang Clan, and Mike Tyson, distributed by Sony Screen Gems); “Two Girls and a Guy” (directed by James Toback and starring Robert Downey Jr., Heather Graham, and Natasha Gregson Wagner, distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Searchlight); “The Last Producer” (directed by and starring Burt Reynolds, Benjamin Bratt, Charles Durning, Ann-Margret, Sean Astin, Lauren Holly, Greg Germann, and Rod Steiger, distributed by USA Films).
